A Big Thank You to Tanger Mall for

Thank you, Carol Bradt!
Our Gift Wrapping Fundraiser has been managed
for years by Carole Bradt, a dedicated Safe Haven volunteer and member of Safe Haven's Advisory Committee. Carole handled negotiations with Tanger Mall on space, ordered wrapping
supplies, and kept the wrapping stations stocked with supplies. One of her biggest job was finding volunteers to wrap
gifts from 9am to 9pm at two locations for 12 days from December 12 - 23. She succeeded in finding 70 volunteers to
take shifts, and where there was a gap, she filled it herself, working 13 shifts. At the end of it all, she did all the counting
and accounting. During the rest of the year, Carole
is busy coordinating the many volunteers who pick up the donations in Safe Haven's collection canisters at local businesses
all over the County. Carole is a genuine Safe Haven treasure!
Thank You, Marci Stewart Marci Stewart provided invaluable assistance to Carole Bradt
with tasks such as opening and closing the Midway store almost every night. Marci ably serves Safe Haven as Merchandise Coordinator
and as a member of the Advisory Committee. She orders sportswear and other items with the Safe haven logo that are sold
year round. She and her husband Lee set up and take down the Safe Haven merchandise tables almost every Saturday at
local stores such as Concord Pets. She also managed the Photos with Santa fundraiser at Concord Pet.
Special
Mention Thanks
to Mari Plowman for wearing a Cat in the Hat costume and sandwich boards announcing the location of the Midway wrapping location.
(Click to see her photo on our Volunteer Photo Gallery) On December 23rd at 9pm, Jean Fleishman and Toni Worsham helped
Carole Bradt pack up at Vanity Fair while Ellen Blocher and Diane Meier helped Marci Stewart pack up the Midway store.
Barbara Keck provided her SUV for transporting the remaining boxes to the home of Carol Lazzara and Sheila Maden, who are
storing the remaining boxes until next year. Larry Adams got all the tables out of storage, loaded them into his van and unloaded at the wrapping locations and
then returned them to storage on December 24. Terry Wilkerson helped load and unload tables at the Midway wrapping location.
