Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary could not exist without its team of dedicated volunteers whose compassion and energy make amazing things happen every day. Whatever your interests, skills and experience, Safe Haven has an opportunity for you to pitch in and make a difference on behalf of Sussex County's homeless animals. And if you're looking to meet fellow animal-lovers, you've come to the right place; our general volunteer gatherings, held every other month, are where kindred spirits connect.

The following volunteer positions are our most urgent needs. If you or someone you know would like more information, please contact us!

• Volunteer Coordinator
• Development/Fundraising Manager
• Membership Program Coordinator
• People with experience using Microsoft Access and Constant Contact
• Canister Collectors in Western and Southern Sussex County
• Writers (press releases, short articles for the newsletter, etc.)
• Graphic Designers

We also need volunteers to:

• Answer our phones and return messages
• Hand out information and collect donations at public events
• Write and/or design our print and online materials
• Apply for grants
• Recruit and interview people for open positions
• ...and more -- we definitely have a place for you!

Meet Our Volunteers

Until Safe Haven is up and running, we encourage any of you who would like to help animals in need through rescue efforts and/or foster caretaking to contact your local rescue group. They will be most grateful for your participation.
